Jim and Stephanie’s Annapolis Maryland wedding

Tuesday, July 30th, 2013

What a fun wedding it was! I’ve known Jim since he was about six years old and have followed him through all the years of BMX Racing, mountain biking and his run with the Nitro Circus. I met Stephanie a few years ago when I photographed Jim’s sisters wedding and instantly liked her. The wedding was held at Stephanie’s parents house and it was a gorgeous back yard wedding with some amazing friends, plus it wouldn’t have been the same if Jim’s best man didn’t make his entrance by flying from Dover in a helicopter. Congrats Stephanie and Jim!

Naval Academy wedding photographer, Annapolis Maryland weddings

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

Robin and Brent were married a couple of weeks ago at the United States Naval Academy and what a fun time it was!  Robin is the daughter of one of the coordinators at the Academy chapel and felt honored when she called me to see if I could photograph the wedding.  We started the day off at Robins parents house in Annapolis then headed over the Academy for some more portraits with the girls and fun before the ceremony.  Robin was gorgeous with such an amazing smile that would make anyone in a bad mood smile and be happy.  We hit several of my favorite spots for photographs then headed over to the chapel for the ceremony.

I just love Naval Academy wedding ceremonies… The amazingly huge chapel, the long walk for the bride with the trumpets playing, the touching ceremony under the dome then the arch of swords as they exit the chapel.  I could shoot at the academy every weekend and never get bored. :-)

After the ceremony we shot all aver the academy grounds and then headed over to the Annapolis Westin for the reception.  Naval receptions are always special with the speeches and toasts that are always touching with the memories of friendships being made and the bonds that are formed between the officers while serving.  Then the partying starts!  Robin and Brent had great dancing and probably the best rendition of “you’ve lost that loving feeling” that I have ever seen.

Congrats Robin and Brent!

Amanda and Desi are getting married tomorrow at the Ten oaks Ballroom in Columbia, but a few weeks ago we headed out to Desi’s uncles house for a quick, but fun engagement session. The location was gorgeous and Amanda and Desi are just to cute together!  Based on these few photos the wedding should be a blast!

Historic London Town and Gardens wedding photographer, Annapolis MD

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Susan and Jim were married back in September at Historic London Town and Gardens.  I just love shooting there because there is always great spots to find and usually good light no matter where you go.  When you add in an amazingly awesome couple like Susan and Jim it’s not to hard to get some great images.  The day started off at Body and Wellness Salon and Spa in Edgewater with all the girls there getting hair and make up done, then it was off to Londontown to finish getting ready and get the ceremony started.  The ceremony was light hearted and fun with big smiles and lots of emotion everywhere you looked.  After the ceremony we took a walk around the grounds shot our hearts out in the great light.  By the time we were done we were all getting a little hungry and it was time to enjoy the fantastic dinner catered by The Party Girls and listen to a couple of very touching toasts by the best man and maid of honor.  The reception was a lot of fun with an impromptu guest DJ and lots of fun dancing.

Victoria and John were married a few weeks ago at the always gorgeous Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.  Victoria is the sister of a great friend of mine and I was so glad when she called me to photograph her wedding.  The weather was fantastic for shooting and Victoria had the day planned perfectly for the light and we got some great stuff throughout the day.  Enjoy !!!

Susan and Jim are getting married in September at the always beautiful Londontown Public Gardens, but they wanted to hit up downtown Annapolis for their engagement session.  We started off near city dock and strolled around and just shot wherever we felt would look good.  We even found a couple of new spots ;-)
