Vickie and Paul had one of the most amazing weddings a couple of weeks ago!  This wedding seemed to have it all.  Amazingly handsome couple, awesome families, great locations, spectacular weather, some of the best vendors in the business and even a few surprises thrown in the mix.  Vickie and Paul met while attending the University of Maryland and being in the marching band together.  Vickie is a national champion twirler and Paul played the trumpet.  Well apparently the two hit it off pretty well and were pretty much inseparable since

I love photographing at the UMUC campus. There are so many cool spots to go to that are constantly changing with the light throughout the day so it’s always a new experience going there.  We got the perfect time to get some great shots while we were there.  After leaving campus we headed up I-95 to the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott Hotel for the amazing reception.  Wow.. is about all I can say.  The room was decorated to the nines, the Dj was awesome and the staff was on target all night.  The tables flowers and bouquets were from Edge Flowers and the cake was a super cool University of Maryland cake made by Charm City Cakes that turned everyone’s heads as they came by.   Every detail of the day was absolutely perfect… right down to the refreshing glass of pink lemonade as everyone was leaving the reception for the night.

Kristen and Mike got married a few weeks ago in Eldersburg MD. I really enjoyed working with them on their engagement session a couple of months ago and I couldn’t wait to shoot the wedding. The day was simply perfect with awesome weather, fun family, good looking couple and most of all great light. Not to say there wasn’t a little kink in the plans when the wedding was delayed for about twenty minutes due to a traffic jam on the interstate on the way to the church. But, everyone got there safe and sound and the ceremony was totally touching and meaningful. Since our time was shortened a bit, I had to find a good space to shoot at the church found a nice spot.. right next to a dirt road and the parking lot and we got the photos done and back on schedule. The reception was held at Martins Westminster and was a lot of fun… The toasts were awesome with Mike getting a ribbing from his brother because Mike is a die hard Skins fan and his brother is a Dallas fan. Samething happened to Kristen who is a Ravens and and her sister is a Steelers fan.. I can’t imagine what their house is like on Sundays.

Katie and Walt

Katie and Walt tied the knot a few weeks ago at St. Ignatius Church in Forrest Hill.  I have photographed there a few times now and each time I still marvel at how awesome of a church it is.  After the ceremony we headed back to Walt’s parents house… which happens to be a dairy farm for some photos.  All 200 of the black and white ladies seemed like they wanted to get involved and we even let a little one play a bit … After that it was off to The Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley for the reception and what a reception it was!  The toasts were touching, the food was amazing and the band was incredible!

Laurie and Diego

Laurie and Diego had such a wonderful wedding… There is not really any other way to say it.  The weather was simply amazing, the location was just as amazing and the couple was even more gorgeous than the weather and the location.  I photographed Laurie’s sister Katie’s wedding last May and found the Wilde family to be so close, fun and friendly that I felt like a life long friend just helping out with the day.  Of course I was thrilled when they called me to photograph the wedding for Laurie and Diego.  Knowing this family, it was going to be a great day.

Diego is from Spain, and all of his friends flew over for the wedding and spent some time on the east coast soaking up the American fun… keep in mind this was during Spain’s winning run in the World Cup and they super excited the day of the wedding when Spain won their semi final game

Mandy and Ben

Mandy and Ben were married at the always beautiful Columbia Baptist Church in Columbia MD.  You may remember Mandy who is the sister Kristen of Kristen and Ted who I photographed back in March.  Yep, I had the great pleasure to photograph both sisters within four months of each other!  We started the day at Lufti Salon then moved onto the Sheraton in Columbia for more photos and fun then off to the ceremony at South Columbia Baptist Church. Mandy and Ben’s reception was at the Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarklsville and it was simply fantastic with great moments with the toasts and slideshow.

Tara and Joe tied the knot a couple of weeks ago at the gorgeous Perryville United Methodist Church in Perryville MD.   After the touching ceremony we headed up the street a bit to Havre De Grace to do some shots in some great light and great weather and had a ton of fun doing so. We then headed back down the road to Aberdeen to the Clarion Hotel for the reception that was a lot of fun as well.

Kendra and Paul came to me from another great couple I photographed last year, Mary and Andrew.  Kendra and Paul  were married at the stunning Saint Johns United Church of Christ in Catonsville. This Church has great light most of the day and simply beautiful grounds to make awesome photos.  From there we headed over to Columbia for the reception which was at the Stonehouse Long Reach Village Center. It’s a very unique place for a reception and it offered a great atmosphere for the party.

Melissa and Mike were married in Sykesville on May 1st.  The wonderful ceremony was performed by Mike’s uncle, and the reception was held at the gorgeous Hunt Valley Golf Club.  The light that day was as good as it could get and Melissa and Mike were all for taking advantage of it while we could.

I am not sure if I have seen two people so in love.  It was a treat to read Melissa and Mikes facebook posts during their honey moon.  These two are insanely in love and it’s awesome!

Trish and Eric were married this past April at St. Matthews Church in Baltimore, and it was one of the most unique weddings I have photographed in a long time.  It all started fairly simply, but as soon as the processional started the fun really began.  The wedding party walked down the isle to the theme from Jurassic Park, which was played perfectly by the church’s organist and at the beginning of the reception they did an entire Star Wars intro with a custom scrolling title movie, to a “droid” inspired introduction.

You can probably tell from the photos that these two just love to have fun with everything they do… Awesome!

Christen and Ted were married a couple of weeks ago at the Columbia Baptist Church, and had their reception at the always beautiful Turf Valley Resort.  They had to reschedule the wedding to March because of the big blizzards we had here back in February, and I think they got the better deal by moving the date.  The weather was simply gorgeous, the couple amazing, and awesome family… mix all that together and you get some great shots.
