Welcome to the new blog for Roberts Photographers. My name is Jamie Roberts, and I am a wedding photographer based out of the Annapolis / Baltimore Maryland area. I specialize in a mixture of naturally posed portraiture , real moments, and the little details that make your wedding special.

The Portrait In the Park Sessions were so much fun! It was great working with long time clients and the new ones they referred! These sessions were shot over a couple of weeks in November at Downs Park in Pasadena and a couple of new clients homes in Belair. Thanks everyone for making these sessions so much fun! We will be doing more sessions throughout next year if anyone is interested.

Sara and Jeff are Married!

Sara and Jeff had a great wedding a couple of weeks ago. Jeff is in the Air Force and it was very fitting to photograph a military wedding on Veterans Day weekend. We started out in Whitemarsh for hair and make up by Baltimore Bridal Hair & Makeup and then we headed outside for a few quick portraits then darted off to Church of the Immaculate Conception in Towson for the ceremony. I love shooting at this church. It has amazing stained glass and a great garden to photograph in. For the reception we headed over to Martins West where their staff did an amazing job with the food and atmosphere. Jason Wallace and Jacob Jensen from Absolute Entertainment rocked the reception and had the crowd dancing all night long.

Waverly Mansion Wedding photography. Jennifer and David are married

Jennifer and David were married a couple of weeks ago at Waverly Mansion in Marriotsville! What an amazing venue! Jennifer and David had a touching ceremony on the lawn and after the ceremony we captured some family and portraits by the barn. Putting on the Ritz Catering did an amazing job with decorating the venue and their food was amazing! Congrats Jennifer and David!

Bluemont vineyard and Harpers Ferry engagement photographer

October 9th, 2011

Erin and Robert are getting married next June and last weekend we headed down to Bluemont Vineyard and Harpers Ferry for their engagement session. The weather was less than stellar with lots of rain in the area which luckily stopped by the time we got to Bluemont. We had a blast shooting at the vineyard and we then headed over to Harpers Ferry WV. to finish up the session. Before we got there it started to pour down rain and it kinda put a wash on shooting downtown, so we headed over to the national park and found a big overpass to shoot under and some really awesome railroad tracks and footbridge made it even more fun. Sure it was raining, but I think it worked out pretty well

Addy Sea wedding. Maryland and Delaware wedding photographer

Cathy and Charlie had a beautiful wedding at Addy Sea in Bethany Beach Delaware. Cathy is the mom two good friends of mine and I was truly honored to be asked to photograph the wedding. Addy Sea is a great venue right on the ocean and has wonderful areas to photograph all around the property. The day started out a forecast of rain, but it mostly held off throughout the day, but it was a game time decision weather to have the ceremony outside or move it inside. Luckily the weather held off and they opted to keep it outside. Yes, it drizzled a bit, but no one seemed to care because the ceremony was so sweet and intimate with only Cathy and Charlies children as the wedding party and all the guests moved in close standing in a circle around the ceremony. After that, we moved onto the formals and family photos and munched on hors d’ouevres and had a great time while doing them. The reception was equally fun with Cathy’s sisters band playing all absolutely fantastic music all night long while folks danced and made smores over the fire pit in the yard.

Austin is almost one! Maryland family and lifestyle photographer

Austin is almost one!

Annie, Rick and little Austin are family of one of my most favorite couples ever, Jenna and Ben who I know you recognize from a post ago and their wedding back in 2009. I’ve been so fortunate to have been able to photograph just about all the family events for this family since Jenna and Ben’s wedding and this session was one of the best yet. I just love LOVE love shooting little babies having fun. Austin had a blast on Tuesday and I did too.
